Jom Pantau is a monitoring mobile application to enable public to provide feedback on the implementation of physical development projects. This initiative is in line with the national agenda and top leadership directive to ensure national development is at its excellent performance. Jom Pantau was developed in-house in 2016 by Implementation Coordination Unit, Prime Minister’s Department (ICU JPM) .The objectives of the application are:
i. To enable the public to provide feedback on the implementation of physical development projects by the Government via mobile devices
ii. To assist PMO ICU to identify problematic projects through Jom Pantau mobile application
iii. To enable the management to oversee the status of feedback and actions taken in a swift manner
Besides ease of accessibilty features, Jom Pantau is a user-friendly mobile application with ageing reporting integrated with Call Centre Application System ICU JPM. These features have made Jom Pantau more practical to use and shorten the ICU JPM desk officers work process. The crowd sourcing feedbacks from the public, could be used as a basis for improvement which indirectly help to produce and coordinate project monitoring reports. More features of Jom Pantau which incorporate latest mobile application technology are:
i. Record project location (coordinate) automatically
ii. Allow complainant to download project site pictures (taken during the site visit) during feedback submission process
v. Feedback will be chanelled to Sistem Aduan Call Center ICU JPM (the one-stop call centre) for further actions
